Minecraft Build Challenge is:

Hello Coaches and Student Competitors,

I hope everyone is doing well and that you are enjoying the competition so far.

For our upcoming Minecraft Build Competition, the theme will be “Build a Culture or Civilization.” Teams will design and construct a civilization inspired by a real culture or historical society. The goal is not only to demonstrate creativity in your builds, but also to show an understanding of the culture or civilization you chose.

Examples of civilizations teams may choose to build include:

• Ancient Egypt
• Viking Settlements
• Mayan Cities
• Japanese Feudal Villages
• African Trading Kingdoms

Teams are encouraged to think about how people lived, worked, and organized their communities. Consider including elements such as homes, marketplaces, places of worship, defensive structures, farms, and transportation systems that reflect the culture you are representing.

Each team will submit a video presentation of their build explaining the civilization they chose and highlighting key features of their world.

Important Video Requirement:
Your video presentation must be no longer than 10 minutes. Please plan your presentation accordingly so that you clearly explain your design and the historical inspiration behind it within that time frame.

Also attached to this email you will find the winners from Week 1 and Week 2 of the competition. Congratulations to those teams for their excellent work.

We encourage all teams to continue being creative, thoughtful, and collaborative as you work on your builds. This competition is a great opportunity to combine history, creativity, storytelling, and teamwork.
