🏫 Minecraft Build Prompt: Dream School of the Future

Theme: Design the ultimate school of tomorrow, where creativity, technology, and imagination shape the way students learn.

🎯 Challenge Instructions:

Your task is to build a Dream School of the Future that includes all the essential spaces students and teachers need, plus futuristic features of your own design.

🏗️ Required Build Features (must include):

  • 8 Classrooms (each with a unique theme, subject, or futuristic twist)

  • Multipurpose Room / Gymnasium (sports, assemblies, events)

  • Theater / Auditorium (for plays, concerts, and student presentations)

  • Cafeteria (with creative food stations and seating areas)

  • Bathrooms (at least 2 sets in different areas of the school)

  • Main Office (include a reception area, principal’s office, and staff room)

  • Library / Media Center (include digital + physical books)

  • Swimming Pool (indoor or outdoor, your choice)

  • Playground / Recreation Area (think slides, swings, or Minecraft inventions)

  • Parking Lot (for staff, buses, and creative futuristic vehicles)

✨ Optional Futuristic Additions (bonus creativity points):

  • VR/AR Lab with holograms or “simulation pods”

  • Esports Arena / Game Design Room

  • Greenhouse or Rooftop Garden

  • Robotics Workshop or Maker Space

  • Student Lounge or Chill Zone

🎥 Video Showcase Requirements:

  • Length: No more than 5 minutes

  • Narration: Voice-over explaining each area of your school (why you built it, what makes it futuristic, and how students would use it).

  • Music: Use non-copyright background music only (safe for YouTube/scholastic use).

  • Tour Style: Fly through or walk-through of the school, showing all required areas and highlighting creative details.

📅 Due Date:

This Week 1 Build is due Saturday, September 27th, at 5:00 PM EST.
Make sure your narrated video is submitted before the deadline to be considered for judging.

🏆 Judging Criteria:

  1. Creativity – How unique and futuristic is your design?

  2. Completeness – Did you include all the required spaces?

  3. Functionality – Does your school feel like it could be used by students and staff?

  4. Presentation – Is your narrated video clear, engaging, and within time limits?

💡 Pro Tip: Start by laying out the school grounds (parking lot, playground, pool), then design the main building with hallways that connect all required rooms. Think like both an architect and a student: Would you want to go to this school every day?
